The Boss RV-2 Digital Reverb occupies a special place in effects history as one of the very first compact digital reverb pedals ever released. Built in Japan during the golden age of Boss engineering, it combines practical simplicity with wonderfully atmospheric reverb tones that modern pedals still struggle to imitate convincingly.
Unlike ultra-clean contemporary reverbs, the RV-2 has a beautifully coloured and slightly grainy texture that gives guitars, synths and drum machines an immediate sense of depth and nostalgia.
