Mo says…
Mo
A proper subterranean tone machine. The Octamizer adds a fat, musical octave below while preserving your clean bass character, with separate filtering for remarkably precise low-end sculpting.

Notable Particulars

  • Analogue octave-down effect delivers a rich, organic sub-octave voice
  • Separate Clean Level and Octave Level controls allow precise blending of dry and octave signals
  • Clean Tone control shapes the original signal from full and rounded to brighter and more defined
  • Octave Filter adjusts the character of the octave signal for deep subs or more focused, articulate tones
  • Ideal for funk, soul, electronic textures, synth-like bass sounds and huge low-frequency reinforcement

The Details

The Aguilar Octamizer is an analogue bass octave pedal designed to combine powerful low-frequency extension with the natural character of your instrument.

Rather than simply adding an octave below and sending you into the cellar, the Octamizer gives independent control over both sides of the sound. Clean Level determines the amount of your original bass signal, while Octave Level sets the strength of the generated sub-octave.

Each signal also receives its own tone-shaping control. Clean Tone lets you tailor the clarity and presence of the dry bass, while the Octave Filter adjusts the harmonic character of the octave voice, moving from deep, smooth lows towards a more defined and prominent sound.

This flexibility makes the Octamizer equally useful for subtle low-end reinforcement, fat funk lines and bold, synth-like bass textures. A splendid analogue device for bassists seeking serious subterranean authority without sacrificing the personality of their instrument.
