The Details
Few guitars announce their intentions quite like an EVH Striped Series. Finished in the legendary red, black and white striped design, this Mexican-made example captures the hot-rodded simplicity associated with Eddie Van Halen’s most recognisable instruments.
The control layout is wonderfully economical: one bridge humbucker, one control and nothing unnecessary between player and amplifier. Down below sits a locking Floyd Rose-style tremolo system, ready for everything from subtle shimmer to full-blooded dive-bomb theatrics.
The maple neck and maple fingerboard continue the stripped-back theme, while the natural EVH headstock carries six inline EVH-branded tuners and a locking nut. The rear features matching striped body artwork, tremolo and electronics covers, and an EVH/Fender neck plate marked Made in Mexico.
The photographs show a very striking example with some normal signs of previous use visible on the hardware and finish. Please inspect the supplied images carefully for the exact cosmetic condition.
A splendidly unapologetic machine: one pickup, one knob, six strings and enough stripes to frighten a conventional guitar from across the room.
