The Details

Part of Fender’s distinctive California Series, the Redondo Player takes the traditional acoustic dreadnought and sends it surfing off in an altogether more adventurous direction. This example is finished in striking metallic Belmont Blue, complemented beautifully by cream binding, matching painted headstock and the characteristic gold pickguard.

Its solid spruce top is paired with mahogany back and sides, producing a lively, articulate sound with enough body for forceful strumming while retaining definition for lighter playing. The cutaway gives easy access to the upper register, while Fender’s slim-taper mahogany neck and six-in-line headstock bring a distinctly electric-guitar flavour to the playing experience.

Onboard Fishman/Fender electronics allow straightforward connection to an acoustic amplifier, PA or recording setup, making the Redondo Player equally at home on the sofa, in the studio or under stage lights.
