The Details
Here we have a Fender Vintera ’60s Telecaster Bigsby in classic 3-Tone Sunburst, a wonderfully evocative take on the Tele formula with just enough mechanical mischief bolted to the tail.
The traditional Telecaster recipe is present and correct, with twin single-coil pickups, three-way switching and the familiar master volume and tone controls. The Bigsby vibrato transforms the character without losing the essential Tele identity, adding gentle warbles, chord shimmer and expressive bends while looking as though it has just escaped from a particularly stylish 1960s studio session.
Period-inspired details include the Pau Ferro fingerboard with dot markers, vintage-style tuners, mint-style pickguard and wonderfully rich 3-Tone Sunburst finish. The photographs show the serial number MX22084633 and Made in Mexico marking.
There are signs of normal use and some light cosmetic wear visible in the photographs, particularly to the hardware, all entirely in keeping with a guitar that has been played rather than kept under glass.
A splendid choice for players who want the snap and definition of a Telecaster but fancy a little Bigsby shimmer for rock ’n’ roll, indie, country, surf, blues and anything else requiring twang with a rakish tilt of the hat.
