The Details
The Gretsch G5622T Electromatic Centre Block with Bigsby combines semi-hollow character with the extra focus and feedback resistance of a centre-block design. It is a splendid choice for players moving between rock ’n’ roll, blues, indie, country, pop and alternative styles, with enough tonal range to wander considerably further afield.
This example is finished in handsome Midnight Sapphire, shifting from deep navy to brighter metallic blue as the light catches it. Twin humbuckers sit beneath chrome covers, while the Bigsby vibrato and Adjusto-Matic-style bridge provide the familiar Gretsch recipe for chords that shimmer and melodic lines with a little cinematic wobble.
Controls comprise a three-way pickup selector together with individual pickup volumes, master volume and master tone, allowing everything from crisp, defined rhythm sounds to fuller neck-pickup warmth and punchy combined tones.
