The Details
Offered here is a vintage Ibanez 684-12 12-string acoustic guitar, built in Nagoya, Japan during the late 1960s to early 1970s. Finished in a beautiful cherry sunburst, this dreadnought features the ornate engraved hummingbird-style pickguard, pearl block fingerboard inlays, bound body and distinctive Ibanez headstock appointments that have made these early Japanese acoustics increasingly sought after.
The guitar delivers the bright, ringing voice and rich harmonic complexity that 12-string enthusiasts love, making it ideal for folk, rock, singer-songwriter and recording applications. Construction is original throughout, including the enclosed tuning machines and vintage bridge assembly.
Condition is very good for its age, showing only expected cosmetic wear from decades of careful use. The finish retains an attractive gloss, the hardware presents well, and the guitar includes a (non-original) fitted hard case. Please review all photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
A rare opportunity to acquire a charming vintage Japanese-made Ibanez 12-string with classic looks, impressive presence and timeless twelve-string sparkle.
