The Details
Here is one for the more adventurous corner of the guitar cabinet. This Infinity features a fully transparent Plexiglas-style body shaped around the familiar double-cutaway Strat formula, allowing you to see straight through the instrument and even glimpse elements of its internal construction.
The electronics comprise two single-coil pickups at the neck and middle positions with a rail-style humbucker at the bridge, controlled by a five-way selector, master volume and two tone controls. A conventional tremolo bridge and chrome hardware complete the familiar Strat-style arrangement.
The clear body is paired with a natural-finish maple neck and dark rosewood fingerboard with dot markers. The headstock carries the distinctive Infinity logo.
It is gloriously peculiar without being merely decorative. Under stage lighting the transparent body makes quite the spectacle, while the HSS configuration gives it a practical range of sounds for everything from clean, glassy passages to more muscular bridge tones. A proper oddity, and Mo's Music Market has always had a soft spot for guitars that appear to have escaped from an alternative 1980s.
