The Korg Drumlogue is a hybrid drum machine designed to bring analogue character, digital flexibility and modern sequencing together in one compact instrument.

Its analogue circuitry supplies the fundamental thump and snap, while digital drum voices and sample-based possibilities greatly broaden the sonic territory. This makes it equally comfortable handling straightforward electronic drum duties or building more experimental kits full of unusual textures.

The front panel is refreshingly physical, with dedicated controls for important parameters including decay, tuning, drive, snappy and attack. Beneath those knobs sits a sophisticated sequencer with pattern editing, motion recording and plenty of scope for creating evolving rhythms without disappearing into a computer screen.

Connectivity is particularly generous, with multiple individual audio outputs alongside the main stereo output, audio input, MIDI, analogue sync and USB connections. That makes the Drumlogue a splendid centrepiece for a hardware rig as well as a useful companion to a DAW.
