Notable Particulars
- Four gold-plated touch plates provide immediate hands-on control
- Generates Gate and pressure-sensitive CV signals from your touch
- Three rows of four knobs provide three independently tuned control voltages for each touch plate
- Excellent for melodies, parameter presets, timbral changes and expressive real-time modulation
- Can be expanded with Make Noise Brains for clocked 4 or 8-step sequencing, or chained with additional Pressure Points modules
The Details
The Make Noise Pressure Points is a 20HP Eurorack touch controller and analogue sequencer designed to put human expression right at the centre of a modular patch. Rather than relying solely on clocks and conventional keyboards, simply touching one of its four gold-plated copper plates activates that stage.
Each touch generates a Gate output plus a Press output whose control voltage responds to the amount of pressure applied. The selected stage also recalls three tuned voltages, set using the three corresponding rows of knobs. Those voltages can control oscillator pitch, filter settings, modulation depth or practically any other CV destination, allowing each plate to behave like a note, chord, preset or complete timbral transformation.
Pressure Points can therefore serve as a four-note tactile keyboard, an expressive modulation controller or a hands-on bank of analogue presets. Add the Make Noise Brains expander and those stages can also be addressed sequentially, transforming the combination into a clock-driven analogue sequencer.
