The Details
The Marshall VT-1 Vibratrem is a versatile modulation pedal from Marshall’s distinctive metal-enclosure effects range, combining tremolo and vibrato-style sounds in one satisfyingly substantial unit.
Its controls provide plenty of scope for tailoring the effect. Speed governs the modulation rate, while Depth takes the sound from a restrained shimmer to much more obvious movement. The Shape control changes the character of the modulation waveform, allowing smoother sweeps or more sharply defined pulses.
The Mode control is the key to the VT-1’s versatility, letting you explore different modulation characters without requiring separate pedals. Gentle settings can add vintage movement and dimension to clean guitar parts, while more extreme combinations produce throbbing tremolo, seasick wobble and wonderfully psychedelic textures.
