Music Drive MD HHH Korean Guitar, Blue (Pre-Owned)

This Music Drive MD electric guitar is an intriguing Korean-made instrument with an unmistakably unconventional appearance. Finished in a rich metallic blue, its sculpted double-cutaway body features sweeping asymmetrical horns, a contrasting brushed-metal pickguard and a matching blue headstock. The result is a design with a distinctly retro-futuristic character, combining elements of vintage Japanese and Korean electric guitar styling with something altogether more individual.

Its three chrome-covered pickups give the guitar an unusual visual identity and offer scope for a variety of tones, from bright, articulate cleans to fuller, more driven sounds. A three-way selector switch and two rotary controls provide a straightforward interface, while the adjustable six-saddle bridge and Gotoh enclosed machine heads offer practical tuning and setup adjustment. The rosewood fingerboard features simple dot inlays, and the natural-finished neck provides an attractive contrast to the striking blue body.

This example shows clear signs of previous use, including scratches, small chips and marks to the blue finish, particularly around the body edges and upper horn. The metal pickguard and pickup covers also display surface scratching and wear, consistent with the guitar's age and use. Despite its cosmetic imperfections, it remains a visually distinctive instrument with considerable personality. An interesting choice for players drawn to unusual Korean guitars, alternative designs and instruments that offer something a little different from the familiar mainstream models.
