The Details
The Roland PM-200 is a purpose-built personal monitor designed to give electronic drums the weight, dynamics and detail they deserve. Its 180-watt amplifier drives a custom 12-inch woofer and horn tweeter, producing a broad full-range response capable of handling everything from deep electronic kicks to crisp cymbal transients. The wedge-style cabinet angles the speaker towards the player, making it particularly well suited to V-Drums setups.
Connections include a dedicated stereo 1/4-inch V-Drums input alongside stereo 1/4-inch and 3.5 mm line inputs, handy for backing tracks, additional percussion equipment and other audio sources. Separate V-Drums and line volume controls are joined by global bass and treble controls. Two XLR direct outputs can feed a mixer or recording setup, with selectable stereo or dual-mono operation.
The full-width carrying bar doubles as a useful handle for repositioning this substantial 21 kg monitor. This example shows cosmetic signs of previous use, including visible marks and scratches to the control-panel area, but presents well overall for a working piece of stage equipment.
