The Details
The Sire Larry Carlton L7 takes the classic twin-humbucker single-cut formula and gives it the thoughtful, player-friendly treatment for which Sire has become known.
This example looks particularly handsome in its metallic Gold Top finish, complemented by a cream scratchplate and pickup surrounds, amber control knobs, chrome hardware and pearloid block fingerboard inlays. Around the back, the deep transparent finish allows the wood grain to show through beautifully.
Its pair of humbuckers provides the thick, rounded voice associated with this style of guitar, with plenty of punch for driven rock tones while retaining warmth and articulation for blues, soul and cleaner playing. A three-way pickup selector and traditional four-control layout make switching from mellow neck sounds to biting bridge tones wonderfully straightforward.
