The Details
Here we have a Squier Mini Jazzmaster HH, a wonderfully compact take on Fender’s celebrated offset design, finished in Olympic White with a cream pickguard and maple fingerboard.
Despite the diminutive proportions, this is very much a proper electric guitar rather than a novelty. The short scale and compact body make it particularly comfortable for younger players, travelling musicians or anyone who simply enjoys the slinky feel and easy reach of a smaller instrument.
A pair of humbuckers gives the Mini Jazzmaster a surprisingly muscular voice, with a simple three-way pickup selector plus master volume and tone controls keeping proceedings refreshingly uncomplicated. The hardtail bridge further adds to the no-nonsense design, avoiding the quirks of a traditional Jazzmaster vibrato system.
The maple neck carries 20 frets with black dot markers, while six-in-line enclosed tuners complete the familiar Fender family appearance. T
It also comes with the Fender gig bag pictured, making it a particularly handy package for lessons, rehearsals, travel or keeping beside the sofa for those sudden, medically unavoidable outbreaks of riffage.
