Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster SSH Olympic White (Pre-Owned)

This Squier Vintage Modified Telecaster SSH takes the venerable Tele formula and slips a considerably broader tonal toolkit under the bonnet.
Finished in Olympic White with a black pickguard and maple fingerboard, it retains the clean, workmanlike appearance of a traditional Telecaster. The interesting business begins with its unusual three-pickup arrangement. Duncan Designed pickups occupy all three positions, with a Tele-style bridge pickup joined by a Strat-style middle single coil and a neck pickup in a larger housing. It is a wonderfully versatile configuration for players who want classic Fender-flavoured sounds without being confined to the usual two-pickup Tele palette
The familiar Tele control plate carries master volume and tone controls plus a blade pickup selector, while the six-saddle bridge allows individual string intonation adjustment. The maple fingerboard has simple black dot markers, and sealed chrome machine heads complete the practical specification.
This example is pre-owned and shows some cosmetic evidence of use. Most notably, there are some small chips and marks to the Olympic White finish, including marks around the upper edge beside the pickguard and a small chip on the front of the lower body. These have been photographed closely for clarity. There is also normal light wear to the hardware and finish consistent with a played instrument.
A rather intriguing chapter from Squier's Vintage Modified era. Familiar enough to feel immediately like a Tele, but with enough additional sonic machinery aboard to venture well beyond twang country.
