The Details
A splendidly individual take on the Spirit by Steinberger GT-PRO, finished in striking Deluxe White. Steinberger’s wonderfully unconventional headless design makes this an exceptionally compact electric guitar while retaining a full-length playing experience. The Steinberger System tremolo and bridge-mounted fine tuners provide the ingenious hardware arrangement that helped make these instruments such enduring cult favourites.
This example has been modified from the standard GT-PRO configuration. The middle pickup has been removed, leaving a streamlined two-pickup layout, while the original bridge pickup has been replaced with an ESP LH-150 humbucker. The result is a particularly characterful GT-PRO with plenty of humbucking muscle available at the bridge.
Controls comprise two rotary knobs and a selector switch, while the double-ball string system keeps everything remarkably neat at the headless end of proceedings. The guitar shows signs of previous use and modification, so please study the photographs carefully for cosmetic condition and the precise configuration.
Supplied with a Spirit by Steinberger gig bag, tremolo arm and pictured documentation/accessories. A cracking proposition for the travelling guitarist, headless devotee, experimentalist or anyone who feels conventional headstocks are simply taking up valuable airspace.
